You Can Not Hold Me Down
In my previous blogs I talk so much about my interest. I will leave my last blog with my ambitions and my biggest priority of my life. I was born and raised in Rockford,IL. I consider my city not only my birth place but my family. The city played a major role in raising me and my community was my support. I believe in supporting every one in my community and uplifting my commuity to make it a better place. I also believe in second chances because everyone makes mistakes.I am advocate for Reynolds Wintersmith. A teenager who made a mistake, born into the wrong neighborhood. He is the only nonviolent juvenile, first-time offender in the United States who is serving a mandatory Federal Life Sentence for a drug offense. He is from my community. He has been in federal prison since 1993. Mr. Wintersmith was just seventeen years old when he joined a drug ring. He was a first-time offender with zero criminal record when he stood before the federal judge who sentenced him to die in prison. He has served 19 years in prison on the life sentence imposed. Without some sentencing relief, there is no chance that Mr. Wintersmith will ever be released.
I do not advocate the use or sale of illegal drugs in anyone’s community. I do recognize that Reynolds Wintersmith made a great mistake and his crime harmed our community. Mr.Wintersmith grandmother was setenced to prison when he was 15 years old. He was forced to raise his three younger sisters since his mother was no longer living. He lived in a one bedroom house raising his sister and going to high school without the state intervening . He sold drugs to feed his family. I believe in the power of rehabilitation and maturity in our young people. Are prison system was set in place to punish and reform. Reynolds Wintersmith has made exceptional strides to improve himself during his nearly two decades in prison. He has completed many college courses. He is certified by the U.S. Department of Labor as a Teacher’s Aide. He tutors other inmates about how to further their education. He is a certified victim impact counselor. He is a prisoner companion for the federal inmate suicide prevention program. He is a federal community mentor who counsels prisoners about how to be productive members of society when they are released. I personally speak to him on day to day bases and each day he wants to be better. I believe that it is time for Reynolds Wintersmith to be released, so he can repay his debt to society through restorative and healing work within our community outside of prison walls. He has apologized to us and asked that we forgive him. I have submitted documents to several news media outlets and just recently The Chicago Tribune selected the information and produced and published a article. My online and paper petition has been signed by over 3,000 people. Every 1,000 I submit them to President Barack Obama pardoning office. I have a meeting with Illinois State Sen. Dick Durban June 4th, 2012 which puts me one step closer to my goal. Hopefully someone will read this and for me that is enough.

Go Meat or Go home
Hillshire farm commercials are hilarious, catching alot of attention since last year. I love their commercials and millions of others do to. The campaign is a good look for the meat. Everyone knows I love a good campaign. Even though they were not the first ones to make a jingle for meat. They found a new way to revamp on the orginal Oscar Meyer jingle sung by little kids. All my friends know the words and thats a positive. The main question I want to know, is this just a catchy jingle? Hillshire farm understand how to light up a television but are they lighting up stores with sales? Is this a effective advertising? The more I watch the commercial I study the people in it. Everyone knows in real life women rule the world. Sorry, I meant household. They shop for the products that go in it, like food and cleaning products. Hillshire commercials that I have seen have been more geared towards men and children. Why would Hillshire not make more of this commercial with leading lady roles. What marketing strategy are they using? All I could think is that maybe they feel like men and children watch more television. Mother's and wives will pay attention to their family members and see what they like and that will influence the things they buy. I can be the first to say the commercials and marketing strategy is strange. The strange is probably what makes it so GREAAAAAAT. Go Meat!

LET'S FLIP SOME PEOPLE OFF!
In my previous post I introduce myself and gave you a little insight of me and things I like. Well let’s talk about things I love. I like to be someone to create a great campaign people love. I previously talked about a great campaign can spice and kick any dry company into high gear. I love to produce new ideas I don’t want to just be a public relation but design new marketing plans intergrading the customer’s needs, wants and desire. Speaking of great marketing and spicing up a company’s image let’s look at Heinz Inc.
This was just pure brilliance!! They did not just change the way we use ketchup. They actually took the time out to find what the customer wanted and needed. Who doesn’t love ketchup? Now even better who doesn’t love ketchup coming out the bottle faster? I feel this change in their product covered all their bases for public relation, productivity, marketing and etc. This change in product even spices up their traditional image. So out with the old in with the new. It brought Heinz into a new generation while still keeping the great recipe they have for their products. I look forward to graduating so I can create marketing products and campaigns like this to show no matter how long something been around you can always give it a great twist and new look. Nothing can ever be outdated as long as you’re creative.

Zsa Squared
Welcome to my world! Young, Fresh, New Ideas. My name is ZsaJeem and it speaks for it self. Senior Undergraduate student of Northern Illinois University. Graduation is around the corner and I can loudly say I am ready to attack the real world. No, take that back I am living in the real world, by being a full time student and employee. I love to work, come up with new ideas and be creative in every way possible. I want to use my creative ideas to revamp companys to help them generate more business, loyalty in customers and build there brand names to have a idenity in there market. I also have a weird urge of drawing an interest in business or organizations that are falling behind or have been attacked and been unable to regain back success. I would like to work in PR and Advertising to help companys with new marketing strategies to develop new Campaigns whether it is print or media. I feel like a good marketing plan can pull any company out of a funk, and in this economic times all companys could use a good campaign. Humor and emotional appeal are what I do best and the best is what I do
